About Baldwin State Bank

The Baldwin State Bank | History
The Baldwin State Bank is a locally owned “community bank” that received its charter in 1892. The Bank stands on the corner of 8th and High Streets in beautiful downtown Baldwin City, where it has been located for over 125 years. The building is a symbol of the strength and longevity of a thriving Baldwin Community. The Baldwin State Bank has been a major contributor to the growth and well-being of the community and its many organizations. Baldwin City is dedicated to education, being the home of prestigious Baker University and an excellent school district in USD #348. The Baldwin State Bank has always enjoyed contributing to both of these institutions, and has even designed programs and products that directly benefit them both.

The Baldwin State Bank is dedicated to providing excellent service to its customers while upholding its traditional banking values. These values have helped our institution navigate through the tough economic downturns of the Great Depression, the 1980’s stock market crash and the Savings and Loan Crisis. The Baldwin State Bank takes pride in focusing on the individual customer’s needs and acting with financial integrity that the community can trust.

The Baldwin State Bank has enjoyed serving the community for over 100 years and looks forward to providing excellent service for the next century as well.
